Skydiving from 12000ft indoors

Queenstown styles itself as an adrenaline sports capital. We had seen skydivers land in the park at Wollongong in Australia, and the kids had spotted skydiving opportunities on various leaflets in New Zealand. iFly in Queenstown seemed to offer the ideal way of giving the kids the chance to sample skydiving whilst being lighter on the budget too.

Having found Queenstown absolutely jam packed with people and traffic (the busiest place we’d seen since perhaps Sydney in rush hour), visiting iFly also meant we could get in and out of Queenstown and on to a camping spot pretty swiftly.

The iFly instructors did an excellent job of easing Rafe and Odessa into the whole experience and they had a great time. Both took to it really well, getting pretty quickly into the correct flying position. After getting the basics down at lower level they then flew up higher in the air.
