Today is the day: UK to Paris travel day

We made it! It has been hectic the last few days with lots to wrap up at home – work, house and other affairs. That we made it this far with any remaining sanity is entirely due to the support of friends and family who have helped get things sorted and will be holding things together while we’re away. We’re looking at you Moqbels (what a send off!), Swifts (for letting us stay) and the Teasdales (for lending us their whole house while we fixed up and got out of ours). Heroes all.

And so it was that we left on the train from Sunningdale (UK) bound for London and a Eurostar to Paris.

It all went remarkably smoothly and even Dessa carried her own pack. I have to say the service and general ease of the Eurostar really does knock flying into second place.

Once in Paris it was a one-change Metro ride over to La Defense where we would be based for a couple of days.
